On 15 March in Birmingham, a local Mum will find out if
her educational business will be a winner at the Education Show.
Mum of 3, Emmanuelle Fournier-Kelly, based in Goring, West
Sussex is the co-founder and visionary driving force behind Maskarade
Languages, providers of materials and teachers for modern foreign languages. A French native, Emmanuelle has lived
in the UK for the last twenty years, making Sussex-by-sea her home since 2009.
Firstly, Maskarade is a finalist for the Educational
Resources Award in the category of Best Primary Resources, non-ICT for “Le
Petit Quinquin En Chansons”, a CD of original French songs.
The second award is The Primary Languages Classroom Award,
nominated for teaching methodology and delivery at Clarendon, a day community
special school for pupils aged 7-16 with moderate learning difficulties and
additional complex needs (including autism).
“I am
absolutely thrilled that all of our hard work, energy and creativity is being
recognised. As a mother, I am passionate about children’s education and am
pleased that we are being recognised for raising the standard of teaching
French in the UK.”
