MARIE FOUINE is a wonderful baker who loves sharing her favourite recipes with people. MARIE is 70 years old, she owns the local grocery-shop at "Petit Quinquin" and works there with her husband JEAN. Besides baking cakes MARIE also likes gossiping and often acts like a detective...Funny old MARIE!!

Les recettes de Marie Fouine
(Meringues)

Préparation (preparation): 10 minutes
Ingrédients (ingredients):
Pour 20 meringues (for 20 meringues)
4 blancs d'œuf (4 egg whites )
250g de sucre (250g of sugar)

Tips: Take out the eggs from the fridge 15 minutes before and add a pinch of salt to the whites before whisking.

Préparation:
Préchauffe le four à 120°C (Pre-heat the oven to 120°C/ gas mark 1).
Sépare les blancs des jaunes
(Separate egg whites from yolks).
Bats les blancs en neige très ferme 
(Whisk whites until stiff).
En même temps ajoute le sucre par petites quantités
(At the same time add the sugar in small quantities).
Dépose des petits tas sur une plaque de four recouverte de papier sulfurisé
(Spoon onto baking tray covered with baking paper).
Fais cuire entre 30 minutes et 1 heure à 120°C (Cook for 30 minutes to an hour at 120°C).
Décole les meringues du papier et laisse refroidir (Remove the meringues from the baking paper and leave to cool)
